delFt and PDC (the P and C below each other with D next to it) and eAc and cT

Thanks in advance,

Thanks Jilles,

I now know the year, but otherwise it remains difficult.

I also can't find a catalog that contains all the characters, is there such a thing?

Mvgr,

Michael

Which objects are involved? Do you have CataWiki catalog numbers or have you not entered it yet?

As a collector of almost everything, I always want to help fellow collectors. Then asking questions about your collection is very logical and of course you do that here.

The fact remains that we can't get into someone's mind and then pictures help more than a thousand words...

As long as a value is not immediately (always allowed, but not immediately) discussed, I think every CataWiki user is helpful, right?

I assume that's what you meant Joseph? Jilles just gave an answer, didn't she? Search and you will find and all other reference works on the internet are also handy, aren't they?

Jozef means that it is simply an auction seller who (with great probability) does not intend to contribute anything to the catalog.

Dear people,

I'm brand new to catawiki and just not sure how to find the markings on pottery. I would like to post a picture of the piece, but I can't in this discussion forum, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I want to contribute to everything, tell me what to do.

Sincerely,

Michael

It would be nice if you put the item in the catalog (as accurately as possible). You can then attach photos.

If you ask a question here in the forum, you can refer to it via a link.

Then we can all watch and you have the trouble done to supplement the catalog.

Interesting challenge indeed to find out more about this scale. The Ceramics Museum Het Princessenhof has a very large library about Ceramics. There will undoubtedly be something about your scale. They will probably know more about it and find the corresponding reference books about it.

I am now looking in my own library and what I was able to find about ceramic bakers in Delft is that there were many factories . They were on the water, so that seems very logical to me (a lot of mud).

Probably the most famous is De Porceleyne Fles, v / h Joost Hooft and Labouchère, Delftsch Pottery Factory. They gave their objects a letter every year to make it easier to date. The letters CT could indicate the year 1974, but then the characteristic bottle is missing and the letters Delft are not written as they did there.

Would other factories also have CT as a year? And then those other characters, I'm looking further.

Does anyone know anything about the origin of these marks? Or where can we find it?
