I'm going to shamelessly advertise here for the comic TOO : The Owl Organization that I published.
The first issue of this English-language superhero comic first went on sale during the Breda comic fair and has been selling like a charm ever since.
The comic was written by me and the artwork was done by Gerard van de Werken and Rik van Niedek. The comic contains two stories, the first of which takes place in the here and now and where our world has to deal with an alien fleet approaching Earth. Sounds pretty basic, but this story will be 6 episodes long and will surprise the readers. The artwork of this story is by Gerard van de Werken.
The backup story takes place in Rotterdam in 1972 and here we are faced with a terrorist attack.
In addition to the aforementioned people, Ramon Schenk (editor Charlton Spotlight), Olav Beemer (who doesn't know him?) and Ronald van Buuren also contributed to this first issue.
TOO # 2 will be released in Sep/Oct and a Who's Who in TOO (working title) will also be released before then
You can find more about TOO and preview art for the next editions. at http://too-comics.hyves.nl/
The first number is also listed here on Catabike.

Shamelessly I'm going to plug here again.
TOO ; The Owl Organization #2 will be published in October and will be presented for the first time during FACTS in Ghent.
If everything goes according to plan, we will be at the same fair with Hip Comics # 19170 containing:
De Bat (reprint of this 1950s comic by Albert Winands)
The Silent Witness by Steven de Rie.
Forrest (TOO character) by Ramon Schenk and Rik van Niedek.
The previously planned Who's Who in TOO has been canceled and will be partially included in the new Hip Comics.

I changed the title at the top because we now spend more than just TOO: The Owl Organization.

We have now partially planned our releases for 2011 and for April / May 2011, next to the third issue of TOO and the fourth issue of Hip Comics, the first issue of Sheriff Classics is now on the roll.

From 1964 to 1974, 250 issues of Sheriff Classics were published and we will continue numbering where Classics left off with the new series.

In addition to reprints of old American work, the new Sheriff Classics will also feature new homegrown work.

On http://www.windmill-comics.com you can follow a few things.

Do I have more good news for you.

Because you have changed the cover it is not a second edition but a first edition of a reissue.

Because it is a comic, I started from the American way where a second edition with a different cover is simply called second printing.

"first edition of a reissue" is a Catawiki term, which is used to indicate that the printing in question is not a 'normal' reprint, but that something essential has changed. A guide to collectors who want to have all the different versions of a work and who can select on this term.

The discussion of what is and is not a substantial change has not yet been fully discussed, but I have taken the liberty here to consider a redesigned cover as essential.

Hello Everyone my name is Dinesh van den Berg, I now make drawings for windmill comics I am a 4th year student at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and I want to become an illustrator. I've done a lot for the Comic Strip and met some artists and now I'm promoting myself as an illustrator in all kinds of ways. A lot of artists I talked to told me to promote meef through forums so here I am.

I am a huge fan of strip and I hope to receive a lot of feedback and criticism of my work. Those who are interested are very welcome to view my art and say something about it. And if people also have some tips for my network I would find that very welcome, be as honest and hard as you can.

But I have to warn you the drawings on my deviantart page are new and old, and mixed together.

I am a comic collector and only now see this forum topic. Because there are several other topics that I also respond to and I also want to update my Collection, I didn't have much time for it.

What a great initiative and great that there is room for comics in the Netherlands again! Such a shame that JuniorPress has quit, but they can't help but the fact that the artists got so bad.

I saw that you publish comics under the name Hip-Comics. If I am not mistaken, that was an edition series of Classics Netherlands. Have you taken over the rights or is that just possible?

And do I now understand that you just continue numbering the series from the old series? There goes my numbering system! (Series were released under their own name after a while and were then counted (the number).

After quite a bit of searching, we found out that the name Hip Comics was free to use, just like the other Classics titles that we have now dusted off and will also get.

Hip Comics will release our 6th issue (# 19175) in March and Super Comics and Sheriff Classics our 2nd issue. Later this year, this will also be supplemented with Adventure Classics and Shock Classics. We will continue numbering this one where Classics left off at the time.

In our comics you will find stories made in the Netherlands and Belgium, but also stories translated from the American.

In the Hip we also reprint the old Bat stories that originally appeared at ATH in 1956. We were able to take over the rights from that series to both reprint the old Bat stories, but also to be able to produce new Bat stories.

At www.windmill-comics.com you can follow everything we do.
