De vraag is of deze post hier toepasselijk is, maar ik heb toch besloten hem erop te zetten!
Vanmorgen mijn wekelijkse boodschappen gedaan bij de Albert Heijn. Als ik mijn kar dan volgeladen heb kan ik het niet laten om even langs het rek met de tijdschriften te lopen om te kijken of er nog iets nieuws/bijzonders te vinden is.
Zo ook deze ochtend. En waar valt mijn oog op… een exclusieve Albert Heijn Verzamelcollectie Donald Duck pocket. Dat is leuk, eindelijk weer een speciale uitgave naast al het andere wat verschijnt.
Helaas was de pret van korte duur toen ik het boekje omdraaide en de prijs zag… € 5,75!
En dat voor een AH promotieboekje wat de helft zo dik is als een normale pocket, maar wel voor de volle prijs weg gaat!
Die heb ik dus gelijk maar teruggelegd. Als ik genaaid wil worden ga ik wel ergens anders heen.
Bij het Duitse REWE hebben ze een in 2017 een vergelijkbare actie gedaan en toen kostte een pocket € 3,99. Nog steeds best veel geld voor een promo-artikel om de supermarkt in de picture te krijgen, maar aanzienlijk minder dan de prijs die de AH vraag. En daarbij zijn de pockets in Duitsland toch al duurder.
Mijn advies… niet kopen! Al was het maar een stil protest tegen de te hoge prijs die ze vragen!

This morning I did my weekly shopping at the Albert Heijn. When I have fully loaded my cart, I can't help but walk past the rack with the magazines to see if there is anything new / special to be found.
Similarly this morning. And what catches my eye ... an exclusive Albert Heijn Collection Donald Duck pocket. That's nice, finally another special release next to everything else that appears.
Unfortunately, the fun was short-lived when I turned the book and saw the price… € 5.75!
And that for an AH promotional booklet which is half the thickness of a normal pocket, but is sold for the full price!
So I put it back right away. If I want to get screwed I'll go elsewhere.
At the German REWE they did a similar promotion in 2017 when a pocket cost € 3.99. Still quite a lot of money for a promotional item to get the supermarket in the picture, but considerably less than the price that the AH asks. And the pockets in Germany are already more expensive.
My advice… don't buy! Even if it was just a silent protest against the high price they are asking!
Er zijn 4 verschillende. Bedoeling is niet dat je ze koopt, maar gratis meeneemt bij bepaalde actieproducten, volgende week bijvoorbeeld soep. Die prijs zetten ze er volgens mij alleen maar op om jou te laten denken dat ze iets heel waardevols cadeau doen.
There are 4 different ones. The intention is not that you buy them, but that you take them for free with certain promotional products, for example soup next week. I think they only put that price on it to make you think that they are giving something very valuable as a gift.
Dan hebben ze ze te vroeg in de winkel gelegd… er is helemaal (nog) geen actie en ze liggen wel gewoon bij de tijdschriften. Als ik dat als argeloze comsument zie en koop terwijl ik ze volgende week (mogelijk) gratis krijg bij mijn aankoop voel ik me nog eens extra genaaid…
Then they put them in the store too early ... there is no action at all (yet) and they are just at the magazines. If I see that as a harmless consumer and buy while I will (possibly) get them for free with my purchase next week, I feel extra screwed ...
Klopt. Deze week krijg je het VI vakantieboek bij actieproducten. Vanaf maandag dus Duck-pocket 1.

Je hebt gelijk… ik heb net de bonusfolder van de AH binnengekregen en het ziet er naar uit dat alle Donald Duck verzamelaars volgende week aan de Unox soepproducten moeten.
Ik blijf overigens wel bij mijn eerdere punt dat zet de boekjes dan nog niet in de winkel hadden moeten leggen… dat scherp foute verwachtingen!
You're right… I just received the bonus folder from the AH and it looks like all Donald Duck collectors will have to get Unox soup products next week.
By the way, I will stick to my earlier point that the booklets should not have been put in the store by then… that sharply wrong expectations!
