Merged and Cratchit removed. Is the number of pages correct? 48 is more plausible in terms of printing costs ... Perhaps the publisher includes the cover and the booklet starts with page 3?

Arco, thank you! Booklet indeed begins with page 3, preceded by title page and blank back, last page numbered 50 followed by back flyleaf front and back blank.

With a softcover we count everything between the covers, so 52, I assume, because there will be 2 extra pages in the front?

Cool, yes the Lambiek site contains a lot of great information! The booklet itself is also quite nice and atmospheric.

Strange though: This is under the comic books and the Bommel / Toonder pockets to another category!?

@Duckman

I also don't know the reason that Catawiki has moved the Bommels to books. Perhaps because of the shape of the outside = book or that the pocket series are seen as literature? In terms of shape, Christmas Carol is an oblong booklet, just like the old Bruintje Beer 's. But yes, Bommel still falls into the category of text comics:

Different forms of comics

The comic can be roughly divided into a number of categories, each of which is popular in its own region:

  • a single image, with or without text, also called cartoon ;
  • the gagstrip , a (usually horizontal) strip consisting of one or more images that depict a short story ;
  • the page strip ;
  • the text strip , a comic where speech bubbles are missing and the text is displayed below the images.
  • a complete story that is displayed over several pages:
  • the comic , American format comic book of standard 32 pages. In the vast majority of cases these releases contain parts of series that are collected later (per storyline or more) in so-called Trade Paperbacks ;
  • the Comic Album , usually 48 or 64 pages, sometimes 56 pages;
  • the comic book, (literary) graphic novel or graphic novel , a comic book with 'novel thickness': at least 80 pages, but usually more than 100 pages.
  • the Vedettestrip , a comic series about well-known media characters.

It is done to keep the series 'Literary giant pocket' and 'BB literary' together. There is no other reason.

Arco, so a book series is leading for Catawiki, which includes both comic books and books? Personally, I don't find it that easy that the strip pockets can no longer be found directly under (Tom Poes Bommel) comics. But if you search by title, you can also find everything.

That's right. The series is always leading. Conversely, we sometimes have a non-comic book that is included with comics for that reason.

and so it does not get any easier for the non-connoisseur, I will always be able to find it, but someone who is looking for the bumble pockets will look under the comics

The fact that they are now under literary is not exactly user friendly

just put something like that back under the comic books

And let collectors of Literary giant pockets find it very annoying if some parts cannot be found because they happen to contain strippies ...
