Given the enthusiasm in discussing / thinking along with Genre's, I think it would be better to make a separate topic for new (desired) developments for the Records and CD's section ..

What René wrote about the desire to possibly add 5 images to an item is such a desirable development. But maybe there are other views about it.

Think along and be assertive in the further development of this section.

5 images seems like a lot to me

With the Singles you can enter the front and back of the cover and the A and B side of the Single itself.

Same with Elpees.

As much as people want and the system can handle. Double LPs already have 6 anyway. Just look at www.45cat.com. I would like to define and record an order:

1st image: front cover
2nd image: back cover
3rd image: label A side
4th image: label B side

The rest could be used for labels C and D, inside of double LP, attachments (photos, posters, etc.)

The first 3 are mandatory.

That should be standard on more items (unfortunately for fast sellers).
1 image (more often) is just too little ...

Only singles go on the copier, for an LP you have to take a photo and it is more laborious.

Bij gebrek aan een hoes wordt de derde afbeelding gelijk aan de eerste. Gebeurt al regelmatig in de catalogus.

Maybe a hint for those who find it hard to take pictures of LPs.

Photos are often taken on which the LP cover has slanted sides, otherwise it will not fit on it. That is indeed ugly and often illegible.

The tip is to scan the four corners of the LP if you have an A4 scanner, and then merge them using the Image Composite Editor application that is 'free' with Windows 7 and later. is included.

Perhaps that can improve the images, I have been doing this myself for quite some time and the profit does not outweigh the total extra scan time, on average 5 minutes.

@ gerhard-barnier (and others) have you looked at (or searched for) the term perspective cropping ?. (no advertising for product here, several are free).

This is faster, especially for images (usually mobile) where the foot is wider than the top ... he then 'cuts' and makes a nice rectangle / square.

Also useful if the scan got skewed .... (rotation).

I have one more comment about the images. I assume that you have put everything on the scanner and therefore did not get everything in view. Taking a photo and cropping it a bit (nowadays easy to do with the mobile phone) often gives a more complete result.

The images are also not right here in the catalog. Probably on your PC. What helps there is to rotate the images and save them back to your PC and then upload them back. Your computer often shows the images as you expect them, even though they are actually on their side. You will only notice this after uploading.

Adding tracks is of course always an added value.

Did indeed photograph the LPees this afternoon and that is also better.
I placed the camera on a tripod and it went quickly and neatly.
Had 100 pieces again and I am now done with it, just check the Catalog and register.
