Er staan inmiddels veel drukken van de serie in de catalogus. Vraagje over deel 1 Arendsoog waar ik niet uitkom.

Volgens de catalogus is de 2e druk ( tevens de 1e herziene illustratie frontcover) de groene kleur , zie 4147975 , vanaf de 3e druk blauw tot ongeveer 1954 toen de stofomslagen in gebruik kwamen.
Het gaat nu om 17044 . Ook als 2e druk ingevoerd . Met 3 varianten frontcovers. Dubbel ? Maar ja dan 3e scan zie ik niet in de catalogus .

According to the catalog, the 2nd edition (also the 1st revised front cover illustration) is the green color, see 4147975 , from the 3rd edition blue until about 1954 when the dust jackets came into use.
It is now about 17044 . Also introduced as 2nd edition. With 3 variants of front covers. Double ? But yes then 3rd scan I do not see in the catalog.

Voor wat het waard is heb ik 17044 hernoemd in 5e druk variant dunne uitgave op basis van overzicht van 1e tm 12 e druk . De 2e druk heeft dus een illustratie groene kaft, tm 12 e drukken zelfde illustratie blauwe kleur kaft en er zweeft dan blijkbaar een 5e druk door zonder geillustreerde kaft.

Als het nog niet goed is, mag iemand het aanpassen.
For what it's worth I have renamed 17044 in 5th edition thin edition based on overview of 1st to 12th edition. The 2nd edition therefore has an illustration green cover, up to and including the 12 th editions the same illustration blue color cover and apparently a 5th edition floats through without an illustrated cover.

er is een Arendsoog site die de drukken in beeld heeft gebracht.
ik heb daar ooit een uitdraai van gemaakt en die raadpleeg ik af en toe om aanpassing te doen in Lastdodo
kijk ik dan bij de 5 druk en daar zijn er 2 van

voorin het boek worden 3 titels genoemd!
[vermoedelijk Arendsoog Witte Veder en het raadsel van de Musquitovallei (dit verscheen apr 1949)]
daar horen 212 pagina's bij
de andere 5 B
jaartal niet ingevuld 176 pagina wel de 3 titels
de echte verschillen zijn herkenbaar aan de rug
(En dan lopen we tegen de 3 scans aan bij Lasdodo)
de eersta: met de 212 pag. (rug 12 bruine verticale streepjes en boek 30 illustraties
tweede: 176 pag. Rug 4 bruine verticale streepjes 30 illustraties
Vanaf de 8 druk zijn 9 illustratie en 176 pagina's
dit is wat ik kan bekijken
alleen in dit geval kan je natuurlijk ook te rade gaan bij verzamelaars die het boek bezitten!
ik heb een verzamelaar de vraag gesteld over het item en of hij de scans kan plaatsen

Bedankt wederom voor je hulp ! Ten overvloede : het gaat er mij om dat in de catalogus bij 17044 er 3 covers waren ingevoerd. Ergo 3 boeken . Dat was verwarrend. De groene 2e druk en de blauwe 3e druk waren al eerder opgenomen in de catalogus. In plaats van de invoer van 17044 af te wijzen heb ik er voor gekozen scan 3 te handhaven als de "5e druk " . Die stond namelijk nog niet in de catalogus. Alhoewel ik slechts "kenner"ben van de latere drukken met stofomslagen, kan ik me niet voorstellen dat er een druk 1949/50 bestaat zonder frontcover illustratie, terwijl alle andere oude drukken van deel 1 tm de 12e druk dat wel hebben. Dus een titelblad van die 5e druk is zeker welkom alsook van die varianten die je noemt in combinatie met voor en achterkaften. . Jilles had me ook al een foto overzicht gestuurd van de drukken. Dus als jouw verzamelaar iets gaat aanvullen qua scans dan graag bij het juiste boek. En een andere druk die nog niet in de catalogus staat is vanzelfsprekend welkom !

Thanks again for your help! Needless to say, I am concerned that in the catalog at 17044 3 covers were entered. Ergo 3 books. That was confusing. The green 2nd edition and the blue 3rd edition were already included in the catalog. Instead of rejecting the entry of 17044 I chose to keep scan 3 as the "5th edition". It was not yet in the catalog. Although I am only an "expert" of the later editions with dust jackets, I cannot imagine that there is a 1949/50 edition without a front cover illustration, while all other early editions of volume 1 to the 12th edition do. So a title page of that 5th edition is certainly welcome, as well as those variants that you mention in combination with front and back covers. . Jilles had also sent me a photo overview of the prints. So if your collector is going to supplement something in terms of scans, please go to the right book. And any other edition that is not yet in the catalog is of course welcome!
