By coincidence I saw that the regular 1st edition edition was once changed to 2nd edition and a proof (or error printing) was entered as 1st edition. The regular print (without print indication) is simply the 1st print, isn't it?

Depends on whether such a proof / error print has been circulated in a 'reasonable' print run.
It often happens that the first edition that ends up in the shops is not the real first edition. A well-known (?) Example is (the book, not the comic) Jurassic Park.
I don't know how this works, but it is sanctioned by administrators.

Thanks, it will be correct because a dozen collectors have the misprint in their hands.

Zie overigens https://www.catawiki.nl/forum/forums/39-strips-algemeen/topics/4253-mannetje-mannetje-proefdruk
That there are 10 copies of 1636145 makes no guarantee that all 10 of these actually exist.
(Even the book for sale may be a regular copy.)
In addition, a "proof" (if that term is used correctly here) is not intended for commercial circulation and cannot be the first edition. This also applies to so-called "uncorrected reading proofs" that you sometimes come across from novels.
By the way, see https://www.catawiki.nl / forum / forums / 39-comics-general / topics / 4253-male-male-proof

Book Warehouse: Agree. is it okay to convert the error printing into 1st edition with explanation of 1st printing round and to name the regular edition as 1st edition again? Obviously it is not a precious Tintin, but the principle remains the same.

Agree with Boekenmagazijn that this forum topic, together with the fact that the topic starter is also the importer, suggests that it is a real proof and not (part of a) regular print run. Incidentally, we once agreed (handbook 1.12) that we would record these kinds of proofs. They exist, are physically unique and roam the world of collectors. So he's rightfully listed in the catalog. Just not as 1st edition. It is better to leave the pressure box empty at that poof pressure and to name the real edition as the 1st edition. The a and b number additions are fine, because the a item was there before the b item.
But Arco and Rik have approved this (see history), so I would wait and see their reaction and motivation.

Agree completely and will adjust. I think we always shoot proofs and dummy; s in a separate series, and then the a and b are canceled.

I think it is not Arco and Rik but Arco and Lange Jan who approved the women's machine :)
It is better to leave the pressure box empty for that pouf pressure and to name the real edition as the 1st edition. The a and b number additions are fine, because the a item was there before the b item.
I fully agree with the above reasoning.
