To start with, a sentence from Arco (in another discussion) that got me thinking:

That's why you have to look physically in the books to know what story title should be.

That's how I came up with the story soup of Jo, Suus and Jokko. You can make soup with just 5 ingredients.

"V1-1 Stratokruiser H. 22"

or "V1-1 Mr Pump's will"

or "V1-1 Stratokruiser H. 22 - The Will of Mr. Pump"

or "V1-1 De strato H. 22" (under that title it can be found in the weekly Tintin )

So then "V1-1 De strato H. 22 - Mr. Pump's will" can be done too.

The cover of the first edition shows both titles Stratokruiser H. 22 (1st episode) The will of Mr. Pump.

The same options for part 2, but in combination with "Destination New York".

"V1-2 Stratokruiser H. 22"

or "V1-2 Destination New York"

or "V1-2 Stratokruiser H. 22 - Destination New York"

or "V1-2 De strato H. 22 - Destination New York

If we then look at the second story (literally translated from French "The mystery of the ray" where does that V in Dutch come from?).

"V2-1 The Mystery of ray V" and "V2-2 The Mystery of ray V"

or "V2-1 The" Manitoba "doesn't answer anymore" and "V2-2 The eruption of the Karamako"

or "V2-1 The mystery of ray V - The" Manitoba "no longer answers" and "V2-2 The mystery of ray V - The eruption of the Karamako"

You can also vary with the "" around Manitoba ...

I'm out for V3: "V3 The Naja Valley".

For clarity, I prefer:

"V1-1 Stratokruiser H. 22 - The Will of Mr. Pump"

"V1-2 Stratokruiser H. 22 - Destination New York"

"V2-1 The Mystery of Ray V - The" Manitoba "no longer answers"

"V2-2 The Mystery of Ray V - The Karamako Eruption"

Which is preferred? Because there is currently no real line. If something has been decided, I will round it up an info page.

Isn't it that difficult to copy what is on the albums and usually above the stories in advance? You don't have to think about that, do you? And that does not have to be the same every time.

At Tintin 20 from 1948 you entered 'Stratokruiser H.22' yourself, so I assume that is above the comic? What is in an announcement is irrelevant.

So a story V1 can have different names? I thought some uniformity was desirable for clarity.

The explanation is then feed for the background pages?

Yes, story titles change every now and then. And background pages - see for example at The Smurfs - can indeed provide more clarity. In addition, stories often also have titles in other languages.

And is V0001 and K0001 the new style or can it stay with V1 and K1?

That depends on the amount of (expected) stories within a series. At The Smurfs I have been on the safe side, and I always advise others to do that. One more zero does not hurt; a zero too little can mean a lot of work later.

We still have plans to automatically generate an overview per series based on story numbers.

The only pity is that you cannot search for V1, and if that can also be V001 or V0001 then it will be difficult.

I think you can search for story numbers in the new galleries. Please wait and see.

edit: tested, and yes, you can search for everything except the Specifics.

tested, and yes, you can search for everything except the Particulars.

Also not by Number in series. Something the previous search engine did.

With me yes . The previous one could only search the gallery by Title.
