Can an object fall under more than one category?
Or where should it be placed?
Example: a tin box for a brand of tobacco: does this fall under “Can” or “Tobacco”?

Goeie vraag.
Good question. What is already possible is to place something such as curiosities in one section and as a “regular” item in another section. Example: if you add a Tom Cat puzzle as curiosities in the section Bumble and Tom Cat in Comics, you first choose the type of Puzzle, so that the puzzle will also be placed in the Puzzles section.
What is not yet possible is linking an item as a normal item (not curiosities) to multiple sections. But we are working on that. It will soon be possible to indicate for an existing item to which section (s) it belongs. The item will then return in more sections, but will only appear in the database once.
For now, please choose the section where you find the best fit. Then it can also be linked to other sections.
