Als novice eerst maar eens een boektitel bijwerken. Aha, een boek dat ik heb is afgebeeld zonder stofomslag. Even scannen en ook nog een representatieve scan van de inhoud maken. Dat is natuurlijk de kers op de taart voor de gebruiker! Als je toch aan het scannen bent dan is die belangrijke scan van de inhoud een kleine moeite, maar o zo belangrijk.
Nog wat andere velden verbeterd en klaar is Kees, goedgekeurd!

Nu maar eens proberen een nieuwe titel toe te voegen. Hoe doe je dat. “Help”, nee dat helpt niks want daar staat alleen iets over wijzigen. Dan “Rondleiding” maar eens proberen. Er staat wel iets over invoeren bij, maar niet hoe je dat precies doet.
Ik neem dan maar aan dat je het formulier voor wijzigen moet gebruiken en alles dan maar wijzigen voor de nieuwe titel.
Wordt niet geaccepteerd, want ik moet nog aangeven welk “verhaal” er in het boek voorkomt. Nu is het een geoniemen woordenboek, dus daar komt in het geheel geen verhaal in voor.
Bovendien blijkt het topic “taal” of “taalwetenschap” niet in de lijst van soorten te staan! Uit arren moede dan maar wetenschap ingevuld. Bibliografisch juist zou zijn: “Taalwetenschap” en dan vervolgens “Nederlands”. Belangrijk is ook een ondersoort n.l. “woordenboek”. Er zijn toch wel veel soorten woordenboeken. Technisch, bijbels, entymologisch, encyclopedisch, enzovoort.
Als verhaal dan maar iets over de inhoud gezegd.
Ja hoor, nu wordt het wel geaccepteerd. Echter….er is nu een boek uit de catalogus verdwenen. Niet geheel onlogisch eigenlijk.
Maar nergens heb ik een knop “nieuwe titel toevoegen” kunnen ontwaren. Dus blijkbaar op een volkomen onjuiste wijze ingevoerd…
Mijn excuses, zou iemand mij kunnen uitleggen hoe dit op juiste wijze geschied en dit dan meteen bij de help onderwerpen en de rondleiding plaatsen? Zo is het ook voor mensen met een IQ tussen de 50 en 150 te volgen.
Blijft ook nog de kwestie van het verdwenen boek, de voorloper uit de serie “Het aanzien van…”. Het allereerste boek uit de serie dus.
Ik mag hopen dat er een backup database is.
Sorry voor het ongemak. Nieuwe titels invoeren is op deze wijze voor mij natuurlijk uit den boze.
As a novice, first update a book title. Ah, a book I have is pictured without a dust jacket. Just scan and also make a representative scan of the content. That is of course the icing on the cake for the user! If you are scanning anyway, that important scan of the content is a small effort, but oh so important.

Now try adding a new title. How do you do that. “Help”, no, that doesn't help because there is only something about change. Then give “Guided tour” a try. There is something about entering, but not exactly how to do that.
I assume you have to use the edit form and then edit everything for the new title.
Not accepted, because I still have to indicate which “story” is in the book. Now it is a geonym dictionary, so there is no story in it at all.
Moreover, the topic “language” or “linguistics” does not appear in the list of species! Out of tiredness, I filled in science. Bibliographically correct would be: “Linguistics” and then “Dutch”. Also important is a subspecies n.l. "Dictionary". Surely there are many kinds of dictionaries. Technical, biblical, entymological, encyclopedic, and so on.
As a story I said something about the content.
Yes, now it is accepted. However… a book has now disappeared from the catalog. Not entirely illogical, really.
But nowhere have I been able to detect a button “add new title”. So apparently entered in a completely incorrect way ...

Probeer eens, nadat je boeken hebt geselecteerd, links op de startpagina op de knop “nieuw item aan de catalogus toevoegen” te drukken.

In de boekenrubriek staat op iedere pagina aan de linkerkant de knop “item toevoegen aan catalogus” (zowel in een fotogalerij als wanneer je een item bekijkt).
Maar je hebt gelijk, betere instructiepagina’s zijn wenselijk. Toevallig zijn we hier net mee bezig. Op korte termijn worden ze toegevoegd.

Ja, Eureka! Niet zo moeilijk dus en ook wel duidelijk. Ongeduldig als ik ben (gelukkig niet de enige) wilde ik meteen gaan invoeren.
De juiste knop niet direct gevonden, dus bij “rondleiding” gekeken.
Bij rondleiding staat de regel: “Invoeren of wijzigen item”. Zit op de goede weg dacht ik nog. Na klikken hierop verschijnt meteen een ingevuld ingaveformulier met de tekst: “Je kunt items ingeven of wijzigen via hetzelfde formulier”. Op zich klopt dat ook wel, maar de manier van oproepen verschilt. “Hetzelfde” heb ik vertaald naar “exact hetzelfde”: dan moet ik blijkbaar dat formulier eerst leegmaken.
Maar dat is fout. Misschien kunnen jullie erbij zetten: “dat op verschillende wijze wordt opgeroepen”.
Een leeg formulier krijg je door….en een bestaand item wijzig je door….
Eigenlijk ben ik een stap te ver gestuurd, zou je kunnen zeggen.

The right button was not found immediately, so looked at “tour”.
The guided tour contains the line: “Enter or change item”. I'm on the right track, I thought. After clicking on this, a completed entry form will immediately appear with the text: “You can enter or change items via the same form”. In itself that is true, but the way of calling differs. I translated “the same” to “exactly the same”: then apparently I have to empty that form first.
But that is wrong. Perhaps you could add: “that is evoked in different ways”.
You get an empty form by… .and an existing item is changed by….
Actually, I was sent a step too far, you could say.
En het verdwenen boek is ook weer terug, want alles wat je doet moet eerst nog worden goedgekeurd door de beheerders. Afgekeurd in dit geval… (;-)
And the lost book is also back, because everything you do has to be approved by the administrators. Rejected in this case… (;-)
