At many requests, we have added the section ' Match brands ' to the catalog.

From now on a separate section for all your match brands, boxes and booklets. These were always part of the section 'Smoking and Tobacco'. With this new section we can give a large number of existing items their own place.

We are still working on optimizing the fields, so it may be that (small) changes will take place.

We are also looking for administrators for this new section. So if you have an affinity with these items and you would like to become a manager, let us know.

It usually contains labels, is it the intention to fill in the item label or .....? instead of match brand?

The label is referred to in collectors' circles as "match brand".

I am not an expert, but there must be an extra type, namely package mark / package label. These are the larger labels of the packaged matchboxes as they are for sale in the store. Incidentally, it is more common to call a matchbook "matchbook".

And maybe someone can add the English translation: matchbox, matchbox label, matchbook and matchbox packet label.

And German: Streichholzschachtel, Streichholzetikett / Streichholzschachteletikett, Streichholzbrief and Streichholzschachtel Verpackungsetikett?

We have added packing mark / package label and changed matchbook to matchbook.

The translations are still being worked on.

Aha then the Erläuterung der Zustand at

Mint condition

Good condition

Fair condition

Please change to Erhaltungszustand, der (Wort art Substantiv) that means Zustand, in der sich eine Sache im Augeblick befindet.

Erläuterung der Zustand has nothing to do with Sachwerte

Good morning,

My name is Moni and I have been busy with Catawiki's auctions for about 2 months. A lot of fun to do. Curiosities and antiques are of particular interest to me.

While cleaning up our house, I came across a matchbox in a toolbox. However, I can't find it anywhere. This is a box of e.c.c. with squirrel holding a nut. Furthermore, under e.c.c. matches the abbreviation ned. fab.

I think it's pretty old, but it still looks decent.

Thanks in advance,

Moni
