Mijn kavels voor de stripveiling zijn nu voor de 4e keer achter elkaar afgekeurd. Waren de eerste 2 afkeuringen nog te billijken. De laatste 2 keer snapte ik niets van en het hangt van de willekeur van de veilingmeesters af of zij de kavel goedkeuren. 2 weken geleden bood ik 2 ongekleurde Suske en Wiskes aan in eerste druk. Ok zij waren niet in topstaat maar zagen er nog redelijk goed uit met weliswaar schaafplekjes op de rug maar zeker nog verzamelwaardig. Reden van afkeuring: de veilingmeester wil alleen zeer goede exemplaren hebben. Wel er staat op de huidige veiling ook een Suske en Wiske boek dat het predikaat goed heeft. Maar als je de plaatjes bekijkt is het boek behoorlijk geschaafd met zelf scheuren er in. Onbegrijpelijk dat zo'n vod goed gekeurd wordt.
Deze week bood ik Kuifje in Zwitserland aan in HC gekleurd in een oplage 1000 en in nieuwstaat. De catalogus geeft 300 Euro aan voor een nieuw exemplaar. Boek komt uit 1983 en is nagenoeg onvindbaar. Maar de veilingmeester oordeelde anders: kavel afgekeurd. Reden: illegale Kuifjes worden niet geveild. Wel een paar jaar geleden werd een illegale Kuifje en het Haaienmeer, speciale oplage van 50 WEL goedgekeurd en voor 320 Euro verkocht. Ik heb nog zeer waardevolle en bijzondere kavels voor de verkoop, waaronder origineel werk van Henk Sprenger en Toonder. Maar de zin om dit materiaal op de veiling te zetten wordt mij zo ontnomen. Zeker ook nu de commissie voor de verkoper van 10 naar 12 1/2 % gestegen is.
My lots for the comics auction have now been rejected for the 4th time in a row. The first 2 rejections were still acceptable. The last 2 times I didn't understand and it depends on the arbitrariness of the auctioneers whether they approve the lot. 2 weeks ago I offered 2 uncolored Suske en Wiskes in the first edition. Ok they were not in top condition but still looked quite good with scrapes on the back but certainly still worth collecting. Reason for rejection: the auctioneer only wants very good copies. However, there is also a Suske en Wiske book at the current auction that has the predicate good. But if you look at the pictures, the book is quite scuffed with even cracks in it. Incomprehensible that such a rag is approved.
This week I offered Tintin in Switzerland in HC colored in an edition of 1000 and in new condition. The catalog states 300 Euro for a new copy. Book is from 1983 and is almost impossible to find. But the auctioneer decided otherwise: lot rejected. Reason: illegal Tintins will not be auctioned. A few years ago an illegal Tintin and the Shark Lake, special edition of 50 WEL was approved and sold for 320 Euro. I still have very valuable and special lots for sale, including original work by Henk Sprenger and Toonder. But the sense of putting this material up for auction is so robbed of me. Especially now that the commission for the seller has increased from 10 to 12 1/2%.
De verkoopcommissie is altijd 12,5% geweest (15,1% inclusief BTW), voor zover ik weet.
Voor de rest: er zijn andere mogelijkheden om je boeken te verkopen dan via de Catawiki-veiling.
The sales commission has always been 12.5% (15.1% including VAT), as far as I know.
For the rest: there are other ways to sell your books than through the Catawiki auction.

Voor klachten/opmerkingen over de veilingen moet je je richten tot de klantenservice van Catawiki. Je zit hier op het Verzamelaarsforum en die kunnen niets voor je doen.
