That's how I use my search list. If there is a copy for sale somewhere on Catawiki, I want to respond to it myself and not be approached by a seller.

I assume that you have indicated in your profile that you do not want automatic responses to your wish list.

I have a separate non-online search list =)
saves a lot of mail and maintenance online.

I have heard complaints about this before.
Apparently there are people who do not understand that not everyone is waiting for this kind of spam.
The only solution is to be able to hide your searches from others users.
As far as I am concerned, it is not much of a concern to others what I am looking for

You might want to indicate whether the items in your wish list are public or private.

It is not the intention for sellers to email searchers themselves that they have something for sale.
If a seller offers something in his Catawiki shop, all searchers will automatically receive a message that the item they are looking for has come up for sale. If the searcher does not want to receive these messages, he can indicate this in My Profile.
If sellers work this way, nobody will be bothered by it (or at least, you can prevent that by turning off the notification in My Profile).
If you are nevertheless approached directly by a seller who types an email himself, please let me know and I will follow up.

But making the search list invisible, just as it works with your collection has been asked many times before… Are there any technical insufficiencies?

We have made sure that someone's entire search list cannot be retrieved. That seemed sufficient as a first step. We can indeed make optional later whether it is public or not and whether or not it may be shown with items in the catalog or if you are looking for it.

We're going to take a look at it this week. Maybe we should protect the lists of values completely.

I am just new to Catawiki and I am entering my collection and my list of what I want to sell
When I started entering my sales list I saw that the comic I was entering in someone's search list stood and it was not offered by anyone else
So I sent an email to that person out of enthusiasm and not to bother that person with bookkeeping
What I am saying is that not all mail that is sent is bad or is meant to be intrusive
So I sent that person

Then it was not clear to you that an email is automatically sent to the searchers. We need to make that clearer to sellers.
