Can't say it's an improvement in the layout customization for mobile devices. I always use the portrait view, and that has now become one long, cluttered mess of information.

If that is not reversed, they have lost me (on the iPad).

I also often check CataWiki on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android) and it is indeed a long list when viewing the Catalog. For example, search the records for Artists.

But as a programmer I say that it is actually mobile-friendly, because it says that websites should be able to scroll vertically. I just think that in landscape mode it looks very strange. That could have been at least 2 columns I think. I always had to zoom to properly click the catalog, so it's okay in that respect. The letters of the alphabet can be a bit bigger for the phone, because you can still click on multiple letters.

I think Arco had already announced that CataWiki is working on it, so patience is a good thing. case and you will see it change on its own.

Ps. I think Google has something to do with it too, because if you don't follow their rules regarding web design, you will be lowered or even removed from the ranking of the search results. And I think one of those rules says that your site must be optimized in some form for the mobile devices.

Very good, Disney! The site has indeed been made so-called 'autoresponsive' for that reason. This was already the case at the auctions, and now it was our turn. I am discussing with the programmer whether there are still things that can be fine-tuned.

Make sure that you can clearly click on links with your fingers (not my fingers, because they are too thick!;)). So I had already mentioned the alphabet here, but maybe show the list of links in boxes / strips to click on, instead of just an underlined text (matter of adjusting css). ! ??

Furthermore, I notice that there are 2 menus here: The main menu of CataWiki and your personal menu. With responsive design (= design adapts to the medium on which you view the website) you often have harmonica menus with menus for phones. These are menus that expand when you click on them. So now there are only 2 menus and that will be a bit more difficult. I assume there will be something like the auctions?

Nothing else will come, I think. What do you mean by menus?

@BigBadWolf

Another adjustment has just been made for tablets in portrait. Hopefully this will solve your problem. There will only be some changes for smaller devices, such as watches and telephones, I understood. Anyone who sees 'craziness' there in the near future can always report it here.

By the menus I mean the standard menu that is at the top of every CataWiki page of the Collectors Platform, so Catalog, Shops, etc ... And by the other menu I mean the menu that is under My CataWiki at the top right. So those are 2 menus that I think can be combined in 1 menu, as is also done with the auctions pages (very clear).

I pointed them to your tips. I can't do more now.

That way I can at least work normally again ...

I understand the reasons, but it had made it completely unworkable.
