We have therefore decided that items with an expected value of more than 75 euros can only be offered through our auctions. You can of course still offer items up to 75 euros for free in your shop.

That's actually not fair.

If a seller owns an item that he thinks is worth more than € 100, but the auctioneer has a different opinion, the seller is obliged to sell it for less than € 75. (This gives the auctioneer absolute power over the price)

Gold-shops
In addition, we have decided to discontinue the Gold-shop system. Relatively little use was made of this.

I think this is just a shame

Well, that's fair. You earn more on an item that you sell for 74.99 euros through your shop than on an auction item that is hammered off at 88 euros (and on which you pay 15.1% commission).

In addition, nobody can oblige you to sell something cheaper than you want. Catawiki does not have a monopoly.

Don't agree with this either. Previously, as a buyer, I could order a certain (expensive) item from a shop, with the certainty that I am the buyer. That is now no longer possible, unless via the auction and then just wait and see whether you are the buyer, with extra costs for both seller and buyer.

So you have fewer options than before with this new arrangement. . Bad thing, this. This pushes trade from CW shops to other selling platforms (must not name names).

I had the impression that there were still few items of more than 75 euros in the shops.

Maybe the auctions provided the option of a buyout price?

Why did you start a separate thread for this, Ernie? Lock on it.

Here it goes.
