Het is weer watertanden voor de liefhebbers van kunst, antiek & design. Waarom vind ik dit soort kunstvoorwerpen toch nooit bij de kringloop? Met één soortgelijke vondst zou ik al tevreden zijn ;-)
It's mouth watering again for lovers of art, antiques & design. Why do I never find these kinds of art objects at the thrift store? I would be satisfied with one similar find ;-)
Om ermee te handelen is het prachtig om zoiets voor een prikkie te vinden, maar om zelf te bezitten moet je toch echt die smaak hebben.
Veel van wat er staat is oude Kunst of (naar mijn mening dan) echt Kitsch als je kijkt naar al die oude intererieurs die daar op sommige stands staan. Al die vergulde of gouden voorwerpen, je moet ervan houden! En eigenlijk ook een groot huis hebben om het in tentoon te stellen. Dat geldt helemaal voor de wapens en bijvoorbeeld oude keramiek uit Azië. Maar gelukkig verschillen smaken nou eenmaal en is er voor iedereen wat wils.
Voor wie geiinteresseerd is in de iets contemporelere Kunst (vanaf begin 20e eeuw), is er meestal ook een apart paviljoen ingericht. Daar kan je een aardig idee krijgen over de ontwikkeling van de toegepaste Kunst in de 20e eeuw.
Maar zoals gezegd, blader in de TEFAF Catalogus en sta versteld wat er allemaal gemaakt is in de afgelopen eeuwen. Prijzen staan er denk ik niet bij, want die staan meestal ook niet bij de objecten op de TEFAF.
To trade with it it is wonderful to find something like this for next to nothing, but to own it yourself you really have to have that taste.
Much of what it says is old Art or (in my opinion) opinion) really Kitsch if you look at all those old interior designers that are there on some stands. All those gilded or gold items, you gotta love them! And actually also have a large house to display it in. This is especially true for weapons and ancient ceramics from Asia, for example. Fortunately, tastes differ and there is something for everyone.
For those interested in the slightly more contemporary Art (from the early 20th century), there is usually also a separate pavilion. There you can get a good idea of the development of applied art in the 20th century.
But as mentioned, browse the TEFAF Catalog and be amazed at what has been made in the past centuries. I don't think prices are listed, because they are usually not listed with the objects on the TEFAF.
