As everyone knows now, we have been in existence for five years. In addition to the completely revamped website, we promised to treat ourselves to something else… not something virtual this time, but something physical: our own magazine!

Collectors simply love tangible things, is the idea.

Catawiki Magazine will be released at the end of next week. Our own magazine, about everything that has to do with collecting, starts as a quarterly magazine with a circulation of 70,000 copies (which makes us bigger than well-known magazines such as Viva and Nieuwe Revu).

A subscription for the first year is currently free for our users, except that we ask a small one-off contribution of 1.95 euros in shipping costs (for Belgium this is just as expensive as for the Netherlands). So you will receive 4 numbers for that. And perhaps a little more because we are thinking of increasing the publication frequency next year. This small contribution is also there to prevent people from just subscribing without real interest, just because it is free.

Active administrators do not have to pay for shipping. They will automatically receive it at home (as an administrator you do not have to do anything). And they also receive a special variant of the first song. As a token of appreciation for the great work that administrators do.

Each issue will contain interviews with known and unknown collectors. For example, TV presenter Valerio Zeno talks about his collection of sports shoes in the first issue. Regular columnist is Aaf Brandt Corstius, known from de Volkskrant and NRC Next. Each issue also contains an extensive exhibition agenda for the coming period.

The magazine will also be distributed through a number of collectors' fairs, but if you don't want to risk missing it, you better take an annual subscription for 1.95 euros via [website removed].

We are very proud of our own magazine! We could not have imagined five years ago that this would happen again.

Active administrators do not have to pay for shipping costs

When are you an active administrator? I don't feel like double subscriptions. Although, maybe the first songs will become very desirable and worth a lot! ;)

Great idea! The Antiques & amp; Collective newspaper (in my opinion still the Collective newspaper) had become a bit too glossy and less interesting for me.

Can members also contribute to this magazine? For example, tell about their collection or about their collection area. Or even better, about their experiences with CataWiki ??

Catawiki continues to surprise. I am very willing to distribute the Catawiki magazine at collector's fairs in Brabant and Belgium in particular. All for the good cause.

Incidentally, I am still waiting for a Catawiki clothing line :-)
I think I am not far off when I predict that it is also coming.

It's a magazine after all, I think. Or do we already have a separate category Magazines? And I think Magazine is just the English word for magazine.

@Succo: Of course I would like to pay the 1.95, that's not the problem. I don't know if I would like to receive it twice in the house, 1 as an administrator and 1 as a subscriber.

In any case, I don't want to miss it, so I think I will just register as a subscriber. Then double! :) Can I make someone happy when they visit and of course persuade them to become a member.

And as for an online version: I think it should only be available to subscribers, via Android Books and Apple Store? Would you like to read on your iPad with maybe links to CataWiki?
