Tonight the 100,000th Catawiki user has registered! A very beautiful milestone. We are going to find out who that was and put this user in the limelight.

It is striking that we are close to two other milestones: 2 million items in the catalog and 50,000 forum posts. Which without much calculation leads to the conclusion that the average user has added 20 items to the catalog and half a forum post. The latter in particular could be better of course. We should give the forum an upgrade (almost nothing has changed since the start of Catawiki) and promote a little more.

Anyway, let's have a party first of course. And then on to the million users! :-)

The 100,000th user appears to be thibeut , someone from France. We are going to report the news to him or her and probably still have some nice goodies as a present.

Have a drink, congratulations

Especially the latter could be better of course. We should give the forum an upgrade.

As long as we deal with it with respect, it is not an issue and if questions that are asked are also answered within an acceptable time frame, it is a great medium .

Rene might like to make a graph with an overview of the 3 items mentioned over the past 5 years

Hello Rene

Forum Upgrade.

Maybe the System of Ebay. The entries there may be replied to a Forum message Ten times then it will be closed Automatically.

And also an Extra Auction Forum where an Auctioneer is present as Helpdesk?

then new and old Auction Providers do not have to email an Auctioneer again and again. He regularly gets the same questions that are answered in that case. already in the Forum.

Mvrg Baron.

I think it would be better to create an FAQ page for the auction

This FAQ has been on the auction website for quite some time, but it can / should be expanded.

Jan 2, 2012 Rene Some more facts about the increase in the number of users: Jilles was the first user. He tested Catawiki until we officially launched September 27, 2008 during the Comic Strip Days. Arco and Willem-Naber helped us with the launch there at the time. It took almost 2 years, until August 16, 2010, until we had 10,000 registered users. We had 20,000 users approximately 9 months after that on May 5, 2011. later 40,000 users again. 9 April 50,000 And now more than 2 million items including duplicates. How many items at the start?

My first placement was on 21-05-2008 16835 and then there were already about 75 items in the catalog, entered by Rene. Perhaps this was16 the real first, introduced on 04-03-2008.

I was not allowed to import comics at that time, because they were negotiating with Peter Bonte. His database was placed on 11-06-2008 and that was about 104,000 items, my counter was then at 340

14-09-2008 I had placed about 1000. Then more importers arrived.
