Collecting/Catawiki Happy Friday348 messages

Ook in het Catawiki Café is het vanaf deze week iedere vrijdag Happy Hour tussen 16 en 17 uur. En wat is een Happy Hour zonder live entertainment? Inderdaad... een saaie boel.

Wat gaan we daaraan doen?

Iedere vrijdag staat één verzamelrubriek uit Catawiki centraal en mogen er dus ook alleen maar liedjes worden gezongen die gerelateerd zijn aan die verzamelrubriek. Dat kan dus een relatie zijn met de naam van de artiest/band, maar het is natuurlijk nog leuker als het liedje zelf over het verzamelonderwerp gaat. Ook een mooie gelegenheid om eens te snuffelen in een rubriek waar je wellicht nog nooit bent geweest.

Deze week trappen we als voorbeeld af met de rubriek Aanstekers en plaats ik dus de link (ja, vreselijk voor de hand liggend) naar een YouTube-liedje van The Lighters. Applaus!

Verdere spelregels?

- Maximaal één optreden per gebruiker

- Linkjes geplaatst vóór 16 uur of ná 17 uur doen niet mee met de competitie.

Het meest originele optreden wordt beloond. Deze week heb ik een Catawiki stripenvelop 1 beschikbaar voor de gelukkige. De prijs is natuurlijk bijzaak, maar ik zal proberen dingen beschikbaar te stellen die je niet zomaar overal kunt kopen. En win je iets dat je al hebt, dan geef je het maar weg aan een andere cafébezoeker of zet je het te koop in je shop.

Volgende week vrijdag, 10 oktober, staat de rubriek Affiches/posters centraal tijdens het Catawiki Happy Hour, dus een week de tijd om artiesten rond dat thema te boeken.

What are we going to do about that?

Every Friday, one collection section from Catawiki is central and therefore only songs that are related to that collection section may be sung. That can be a relationship with the name of the artist / band, but it is of course even more fun if the song itself is about the collection subject. Also a great opportunity to browse in a section where you may have never been.

This week we're kicking off with the Lighters section as an example, so I'm posting the link (yes, terribly obvious) to a YouTube song by The Lighters . Applause!

Other rules of the game?

- Maximum of one gig per user

- Links posted before 4 pm or after 5 pm will not participate in the competition.

The most original performance will be rewarded. This week I have a Catawiki comic envelope 1 available for the lucky one. The price is of course an afterthought, but I will try to make things available that you can't just buy everywhere. And if you win something you already have, you can give it away to another café visitor or put it up for sale in your shop.

Next Friday, October 10, the Posters section will be the focus of the Catawiki Happy Hour, so you have one week to book artists on that theme.

Very nice, but is everyone really going to respond at the last minute? Or does Arco all receive PM (internal messages)? At the auctions, people also only respond at the last minute. Here you have the chance that you will be late, I understand.

The competition will not start until next week, but in this case I would have chosen Fazerco or Sinbad because they are not gutted songs. In the end, Fazerco would have won because Sinbad did not get his link working before 5 pm, and that is like an artist who is in a traffic jam and for that reason starts his gig too late.

Don't worry, the chance that I will participate next week is very small. At work, we don't have a happy hour, so getting online before 5am is difficult.

Nice initiative with unfortunately an unfortunate time. I don't have time to sit down in the cafe at 1600 hrs.

Anyone who works between 4 and 5 pm on Fridays has - with the economic crisis in mind - actually a Happy Hour ... (;-) Let's see how the response is in the coming weeks.

Can anyone explain how to create a link?

Good that we're testing this, then, Sinbad. I work on an iPad and your link goes to the Google home screen. I turned on my PC and indeed, there goes your link to a Doe Maar video. Can others who read this Sinbad's Do Maar link also test it and see if they experience the same crazy phenomenon on a mobile phone or iPad? I am on IOS 8.0.2.

Sindbad's link also goes wrong on an iPad with version 7. So it is not ios8, perhaps a safari thing.
