iIk heb vandaag wat opgegeven prijssuggesties bekeken, en daarbij zijn mij direkt twee dingen opgevallen:
Als suggestie voor zegels Nederland en overzee wordt vaak de N.V.P.H. catalogusprijs gegeven. Het zou voor mij een fluitje van een cent zijn om alle prijzen aan te passen aan de NVPH prijzen, maar dat is nu juist NIET de bedoeling. Catawiki gaat een eigen koers varen waarbij prijzen onder en soms ook boven prijzen van gevestigde catalogi kan komen te liggen. Bendenk hierbij ook dat catawiki internationaal wordt en in verschillende landen andere catalogi worden gebruikt. Ook zal Catawiki in grotere mate de markt volgen.
In de tweede plaats zag ik veel forse verlagingen (soms tot 1/4) voor 'klassiek' postfris, op basis van prijzen die de Michel geeft. Ook hier geldt dat we niet een kopie willen/kunnen worden van de Michel. Daar komt nog bij dat de suggesties vaak onterecht zijn. de noteringen van de klassieke zegels zijn vaak voor MET PLAKKER (raadpleeg tekst voor de landen in de Michel)
Prijssuggesties voor de scandinavische landen hebben nog weinig zin omdat hiervan de nieuwe databases nog opgeladen moeten worden.
I looked at some given price suggestions today, and I immediately noticed two things:
As a suggestion for stamps in the Netherlands and overseas, the N.V.P.H. list price given. It would be a piece of cake for me to adjust all prices to the NVPH prices, but that is precisely NOT the intention. Catawiki is going its own course, with prices falling below and sometimes above the prices of established catalogs. Also bear in mind that Catawiki is becoming international and different catalogs are used in different countries. Catawiki will also follow the market to a greater extent.
Second, I saw many significant reductions (sometimes up to 1/4) for 'classic' MNH, based on prices given by the Michel. Again, we do not want / cannot become a copy of the Michel. In addition, the suggestions are often incorrect. the quotations of the classic stamps are often before WITH ADAPTER (see text for the countries in the Michel)
Price suggestions for the Scandinavian countries make little sense as the new databases have yet to be loaded.
