Hello,

In a collection I came across the stamp below. It's Nvph 200, but anything that's supposed to be blue is light yellow. Is this a record error? It is not in the Nvph catalog. And if so, does anyone have any idea of the value?

Regards,

Rob

Could it be a discoloration because it has been in the sun (in the past) too long?

Is 100% sure a discoloration, probably sunlight but could also be chemical discoloration.

Incidentally, if the yellow color had really been missing, it would not have been a plate error but a printing error. Plate defects are small irregularities in one or more clichés (or equivalents) and are usually simply put into circulation, while a missing color has nothing to do with the plate itself, but concerns an irregularity in the production process that has crept through the check.

I don't know if he used to spend too much time in the sun. Last week I received it in a collection. But then I assume it is a discoloration and not a record error. Thanks.

Again, suppose it really was a missing color, it wasn't a plate error.
