Sometimes I come across something in the catalog, which arouses my surprise. I usually go back to Indonesia soon, but I don't want to keep this one from you. This is item 1260797 . According to the importer, this concerns the artist's original work, the (preliminary) design of the beaver stamps. A unique work of art.

It has been given postage as a usage type. In itself I would not have expected that, because who is gluing a work of art to a letter? I assumed the usage type was wrong, but I was wrong. Because there is someone who has a stamped copy in his or her collection. Doubly remarkable, because there are two more collectors who have this unique copy in their possession. Three collectors in the stamp section for something that is not a stamp and of which only 1 copy exists according to the description. I think something is wrong here. (:-)

ah, also occurs in paintings, I have noticed. Has been mentioned before ... :-)

But because it is not a postage stamp, but the design for it, it should not be with art. The original cover of a book does not end up with books after all

Morits,

It is only 1 of the many 10,000s of polluting, crazy Items that are listed with stamps, (I estimate that there are more than 50,000 items (10%) in the stamp catalog that do not belong there, an administrator has a life task with this) after years is still anything that even remotely rubs up against Fillatelie at the same time as a stamp :), while the strict definition of the stamp is quite clear and leaves little room for deviating interpretation of that definition, you can find in the Catawiki Stamp Catalog the most bizarre knick-knacks

If we limit it to things with teeth, there must be someone who will enter a piraña ... (;-)

But the item that az60 supplies is not allowed in the whole of Catawiki, because it is a so-called multi-item. So it disappears completely from the database.

One Catawiki item containing several objects. We have set strict conditions for this. And this one doesn't live up to that.
