Apparently you have 4 options to indicate a stamp (where I always thought there were only 3)?

First of all you have a canceled one (this is usually indicated so there is normally no problem).

But then you have * or X and ** or XX (unused seal with or without hinge)

Apparently you also have an (X) which would stand for unstamped stamp without gum ?

If you additionally purchase a series - indicated as X - and the most expensive stamp of the series does not bear any gum (the other does, which turns out to be are) then this is not ok, is it?

I forgot to mention another element.

I was under the impression that a stamp without an eraser was considered a canceled one, with its value?

The series indicated if (X) was presented with an OCB value equal to the unstamped with hinge and therefore not as canceled?
