I have a nice little shop of around 10,000 stamps, and until the beginning of September I had 1 or 2 assignments almost every week.

Usually small assignments averaging 4.00 euros (I do this out of hobby and I am not a trader).

But to my surprise I haven't had any orders for 2 months now, actually since the moment the site got a split between auctions and collectors.

Apparently the collectors site is more difficult to find ...

Who is affected by this too?

Greetings,

Ton

@Tonstamps, that's right, instead of Collector's Platform, it should have been there

collector's catalog or "Go to the catalog here"

if someone accidentally clicks on collector's platform then he sees the catalog on the left.

but not before. it has not been thought about, or it has been deliberately done that way.

A strange, in that case a buyer is immediately entered into the auction and no account has been taken at the top of the reference to the catalog or to the sales shops

only when you scroll all the way down you will see something about a catalog, and then you will see a collectors platform at the bottom that you can click on.

but before people are there then they have usually already clicked on an item that is in the auction because of curiosity.

so goodbye customer.

but once you are on the collector's platform, then you will see 2 references to the auction.

Selling on Catawiki makes little sense.

Do you have a valuable lot, offer it at the auctions of Catawiki.

Since Miris posted on the forum that in addition to auctions there is also a collectors catalog, and that there are shops of collectors, I have had an order link again twice, it may have had an effect ..... but I do not find a level on it myself to pull. a while ago I sold something once a week, then nothing for over a month, and now suddenly twice something. Well, I see, at least smart buyers still buy through the catalog, I think. especially if you are looking for some stamps, but with a little patience, you will also find exactly what you want in larger quantities ... greetings, elizabeth

Oh yeah? So if I mention the two most used sales platforms in a post, is that advertising? Afraid of competition? Believe me, the sales platforms that work best don't have to advertise.

If you mention them, that is not advertising, you know, it is if you actively call on our users to leave there. That is not just advertising, but even rude behavior and taking advantage of the opportunity we offer you to post here. Excusez le mot.

You may find that rude behavior, I call that open communication.

If I am in the AH and I tell a customer you can also shop at the Jumbo, I will not be thrown out of the AH . No, AH makes sure that the customers prefer to stay with AH.

I think it is more of a rude behavior that the shops of the ordinary users, who have made Catawiki great, are snowed under. In favor of the large auctions. The key to online (lasting) success is putting the user first.

As long as you keep an eye on the fact that you are here on a moderated forum and not on a social medium where everyone can shout what they want, I think everything is fine.

Do not forget that more and more providers are coming and therefore the rinse is getting thinner.

I don't think that claim can stand. Although I have no evidence for it, I suspect that the growth in the number of Shops is negligible compared to the growth in the number of visitors to the site (i.e. the auctions).

Rietjeel: The problem is that there are only providers and no buyers in the shops. The shops simply cannot find them.

The last 3 orders I received were from people who were not members of CW they ordered books maybe that has to do with it.
