Is it the intention (or allowed at all) that shops offer reproductions of rare stamps with that stamp? So if you go to an extremely rare stamp like the Mauritius 2P Blue "Post Office" from 1847, item 258185 , you see 4" MNH "for sale there? Comes across as strange (not to say silly). If you look at the stamps on offer, you will notice that they are not originals, but it still seems a regrettable practice.

That is absolutely not allowed.

And what are you going to do to it as a catalog manager?

As stated much more often, management does something to the catalog.

Shops we can at most express our surprise.

I suppose you can appeal to shops if they do not follow the conditions? The seller may not even be aware that he is doing something wrong, but if you don't let them know, it certainly won't change ...

We (management) can appeal to shops: just like everyone else.

Catawikiteam (owners) has the opportunity to act.

The only thing management can / does is review items within the catalog.

That's a simple conclusion.

Just send the shop a message with an explanation and request.

Administrator is something more than user, they say.

It is strange that you can see through History that this stamp has already been reviewed more than 8 times, and no one has noticed that this stamp may not be genuine for only €35

February 2, 2014 the 1st reproduction will be offered more than 2.5 years after the last review of the stamp.

So what's strange about it. Little miss? I don't see the connection.

It is also always clear what is offered.

The question should therefore be whether these types of items may be offered under the original seal?

How many forgeries, stamps, re-toothed, gummed, false-stamped and repaired stamps are offered for sale on Catawiki? There must be thousands of them, can you hold administrators to account? They have nothing to do with that, if I were the administrator I wouldn't even send an email.

As Dick pointed out, administrators have no involvement with the shops.

You can always report this type of abuse via Catawiki info.

In the meantime, the shop owner has been asked to remove these stamps from his shop.

No, that's not a question.

Can I choose an item from the catalog to sell a slightly different item?

@Rob, I was wrong, I thought it was the stamp that was in CW, because I saw the C in the lower right corner as a miss, which made it look like it was a forgery, it turned out afterwards that must be the watermark of CW.

I was too premature.

As for the € 35 offer, it is not a fake or anything like that what I see, just a ticket stating what happened to that stamp in 2002, an advertising card
