Can someone explain to me how to recognize faser paper.

I am working on some old stamps from Switzerland. I do see a difference between stamps, but it is not clear to me whether this is because it concerns phase paper.

Thank you.

Which stamps are we talking about ???

From a certain point on, Switzerland has almost exclusively colored fibers in the paper! Red, blue and sometimes black .. And much later also purple!

So if you get more concrete I might be able to help you.

greetings, Rein

Hello Rein,

These are the stamps from 1882 Cross with shield.

Michel 45 to 57.

Thank you

I don't have a Michel to hand, but a Zumstein!

In 1882 they give it both the stamps without colored fibers and with. Those without seem more expensive to me. With that series you also have to deal with a control mark and various perforations. And later also a real watermark.

It's a shame I can't put any images here! Otherwise I would list them here. However, I do like that!

Although with different stamps, but still an idea of the colored fibers!

Greetings, Rein

PS

that way I will soon be able to show the 1882 stamps!
