I collect stamps from Indonesia and have recently become interested in the stamps from Maluku Selatan (South Moluccas) I already have a number of them, but there is not much to find on the internet (series, years, etc.). Does anyone have a catalog or does someone know an internet site where you can clearly see which stamps there are?

Hi Martin,

If you go to Google and then to Republik Maluku Selatan and then down to Maluku Collection Imex I think you will see the full collection. Incidentally, I can supply the fish and the butterflies. (But that doesn't really belong here.)

Hi, thanks for the tip, I already have the fish and butterflies, I'm looking for the series of numbers (with print), the temple series sen and rupiah (with print) and there may be more, I'm going to have a look via google .

I've looked, cut and pasted a bit in a word document and now have a few A4 pages myself so that I know what's there and can tick off what I have.

greetings": Martin.

For your information:

DAI Nippon 'Catalog Vienna & amp; Philadelphia Printings and Sub Areas of the Republic of Indonesia '- Authors: Henk Ramkema / Leo B. Vosse
Fourth Edition August 2003 (most recent I assume)
ISBN 9072270711
cost: EUR 35
Also contains the Viennese Drukken, Permesta, ... A beautiful book.

Republik Maluku Selatan on p. 223-266

It is a pity that the country list on LD does not contain 'Maluku Selatan' that also navigates to the South Moluccas catalog. You have to go through all countries (read) up to and including the letter Z to find it if you don't already know it.

And then again, my Indonesian is not that good ... Now I suspect that 'selatan' is Indonesian for 'south', but few know that.

Aliases have now been added to South Moluccas: Maluku Selatan and Republik Maluku Selatan.
Now they are also easier to find in the A / Z lists.

sleven,
I had almost forgotten this one.
On the background page of this area at Stamps I had made quite a few changes after my previous post in this thread. The stamps you are looking for belong to the "first kind: functional".
If you have obtained them in the meantime, don't forget LD (scan and add).  I don't have them myself (or they were on it for a long time).  Once had I had the chance to get it, but the prices were really too high (besides there was no inspection certificate with it)   At that time my level of madness was not that high.

Watch out for fakes.
A of those possible forgeries is fairly easily recognizable: the M must be pointed at the top and not flattened:

'stamped' can almost always be regarded as 'forged'.  They are so scarce .. Whoever owns a 'real' one will never get rid of it.  Just like with the Viennese Printings (which are indeed UPU certified stamps and not Cinderella's).  They have also been in use for a very short time.  Too short to have enough canceled copies savvy scammers (official stamp dealers!) thought it was worth it and to provide basic stamps with overprints, and to make 'canceled' copies yourself to meet the demand.
