I am looking for a site where I can easily put photos on. I still have some requirements:

  • I want to be able to organize them in different folders
  • I want to be able to decide who can see the photos
  • I want other people to be able to create folders and add photos themselves by invitation

Someone who has a good idea for that? I tried Flickr, but it wasn't very clear and I can't organize the shared photos into folders I think.

Thanks in advance!

The best solution for what you submit is the MobileMe Gallery, which can do anything you ask for.

MobileMe is a product for which you pay every year and actually only really ideal for Mac users.

@chilian

Have you ever tried Picasa? Costs nothing and can do anything you describe

I am now using picasa. That's the closest. A big disadvantage, I think, is that other people must be able to log in to put photos on it. That means that I had to create a special email address, give everyone the password, so that everyone has to log in to put their photos on it. Awkward, but it works reasonably well. Thanks anyway!

You could also take a look at online storage space such as e.g. drivehq.com. Up to 10 Mb of storage it is free. Files are then accessible with an Explorer-like program, for anyone who knows the login details. The great thing is that it is not limited to photo files only.
