It is still a bit early for the alcohol, therefore a more boring topic.

Until recently I used IE7. It started acting weird when I used Google. Installed IE8 a few days ago. After a few recoverable crashes this morning System Failure and System Restore :-(

Installed IE8 again, but I don't trust it anymore. Anyone experience with Chrome? I think of that because I use Google quite a lot.

IE8 installed immediately after availability of the Dutch version. Never had any problems. Have Vista Ultimate as OS.

I am using Vista Home Premium. It could of course be a coincidence that it is happening now. Wait ...

IE started to annoy me too, so I've been using Chrome for a year now, and I like it. As with everything, switching takes some getting used to, and you sometimes have a problem, but not as bad as with IE until now.

You could also try Firefox because to drop the choice on Chrome because you 'google' a lot is a bit exaggerated;)

Just in case, I'm using XP

Chrome has become painfully slow for me, I'm back to Firefox

That's weird, I'm trying out Chrome and I think it's super fast compared to IE7 & amp; 8, really an incredible difference.

You don't have all those bells and whistles, but I usually don't need them anyway.

Personally, I also find Chrome lightning fast, before that I also had IE7.
I use Chrome because, as I said, I find it fast, but also because I don't need all those extras. I have used Firefox very little because I really don't like it.

I am using Firefox. Chrome seemed nice, but I miss the google toolbar, a bit paradoxically. The disadvantage of Firefox, I think, is that it starts up so slowly.

I've been using Firefox for years and will continue to do so. Call me paranoia, but google is a bit too keen on all kinds of data. At Gmail, they even scan your email for features that are of interest to their advertisers.

Ha, this is a topic that we, as Catawiki developers, can get involved in; I myself use Safari. I am the only one in the office, the rest of the team is on Chrome.

In my view, those 2 are not very different in terms of speed, but both are considerably faster than Firefox and especially than Internet Explorer. Can't hurt to take a look at that anyway.

If you're concerned about how Google handles your privacy, just like me, give Safari a try. On the Mac that browser is perfect, on Windows I have no experience with it.

I have tried Safari under windows (I think 2 years ago or something) and it didn't work for me. It will work better now I think, since it was still a beta version at the time.

And about privacy, it is better to pull the plug from the internet. Even CW does not use https for your data. (maybe something to do for you;)) And https is of course no guarantee.
