I recently received a number of FDCs from the 1940s-60s that were unfortunately somewhat wrinkled. What is the best/safest way to get them smooth again? Does it work with an iron....or with weights etc? Thanks for all the tips.

You will never get rid of a real fold Jacobus66 . This will always remain visible. If there are some bulges or wrinkles in the sheet, weights work best. Take all the catalogs (or something else heavy, if not enough catalogues) you have, place the FDCs at the bottom and leave them for a few days. Usually gives a tight result.
