I am an avid collector/lover of comic books,
I also often buy lots, but I don't feel like a trader. I also see my shop as a hobby.
But recently I heard that if you make more than 1,800 euros in turnover per year, or 30 sales, Last Dodo will pass this on to the tax authorities. I then looked at my shop details and was shocked when I saw that LastDodo indicated that I had made more than 2000 euros in turnover over the past 13 months.
My question is whether this fact is correct.
I never actually bothered to mention the purchase amount, but I guess I will have to,
because lastdodo won't take this into account?
Sometimes I send a booklet of 1 euro with 9 euro shipping costs to Belgium, and then I won't talk about Australia or Canada..... Question, does last Dodo also deduct the shipping costs from the turnover?
Finally, I also pay a subscription, almost 25 euros gross per month, I believe.
has this amount also been deducted from the amount of turnover? that Lastdodo has indicated in my shop.
I have now closed my shop and will enter a purchase amount everywhere, or will this have no effect on the turnover amount that LastDodo gives per 13 months?????

The indicated turnover is the total of all your sales prices, without postage.
Your subscription costs and purchase amounts also have no influence on that total.

By the way, the tax authorities will not be so quick to label you as a professional seller, even if you cannot provide purchase receipts.
Only those who trade large amounts on different sites (and hide this from the tax authorities) have something to fear.

Beyond that, the tax department is far too understaffed to go after minor offenders.

Stripcollector ,

What Boekenmagazijn indicates is correct.

What you are referring to is the new European DAC7 regulations. This legislation applies to all European platforms and therefore also to LastDodo.

We are obliged to provide certain seller data to the Dutch tax authorities if these sellers sell more than 2,000 euros in a calendar year or have delivered more than 30 orders. This data is only used to comply with this legal obligation and is not used for other purposes.

This does not mean that your income is taxed because that depends entirely on your personal situation. The starting point is whether you have consciously purchased items with the aim of making a profit. In that case, you must report this profit (not the turnover) to the tax authorities. If you have your own collection, you will probably get less money for it when you sell it than you paid for it yourself. Then you don't make a profit and you don't have to give it up.

It is important to realize that nothing has changed in the tax rules themselves. If you didn't have to pay taxes, you still don't have to.

Rene
Sorry, this is not entirely correct. If you sell a collection that you have owned for years and did not buy with the aim of making a profit, the proceeds are tax-free. Even if you receive much more than you ever paid for it.

Rene You're right. It's not really wrong, but it is a bit confusing because the amount of purchase does not matter in this case ;-)
