This concerns https://www.lastdodo.nl/nl/items/398863-essay-rg and https://www.lastdodo.nl/nl/items/147489-essay-rg-het-fenomeen-herge

I have that book with its cover and the appendix 'The first reactions'. Because the book and cover are registered separately, the suggestion is that these are separate collector's items.
Someone has (incorrectly) posted a comment under 'stories': 'This is not a sliding box or cassette, but a loose paper wrapper'. That's not right, because it's just part of the book.
I find that strange because it suggests that you would have to register a separate cover and the book separately . I think it would be normal for them to belong together.

I bought the book when it was published in 1994. That was the edition as described #147489 , nothing else belonged.

A year later a brochure appeared #398807 with comments on the book, which was sold separately as well as together with the original edition with #398863 as a wrap around it.

The assumption that the cover "just" belongs to the book is incorrect, because that combination only came about afterwards.
The way the items are listed in the catalog is therefore correct. You may find that inconvenient, but that is the agreement.

I understand that it is an exception and that is a different story. I didn't know it was first published without a paper cover. Learned something again! Thank you for explaining!
